SPDL has a team of six paid staff. The team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of SPDL, ensuring that services are delivered to the community and meet the various operational, statutory and funding requirements.

Clemens Unger
GENERAL MANAGER
Clemens joined SPDL in August 2023 and is an experienced senior manager in the NFP and corporate sector.
In his senior leadership roles in not-for-profit organisations over the last 20 years he has demonstrated the ability to work positively with volunteers, small and large teams and develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
Clemens has a genuine passion for the community sector as well as strong connection to other sectors such as the NDIS which complement the work of South Port Day Links.

Ivano Abram
VOLUNTEER & INTAKE PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Ivano has joined SPDL in April 2022 as Volunteer and Intake Program Coordinator.
Ivano’s journey in the not-for-profit sector started in 2019 working in support programs for CALD groups. This experience has driven Ivano to focus on the development and coordination of programs to reduce the social isolation of the most disadvantaged people and to encourage human connections across cultures and groups in our community.

Mollica Thomas
RECEPTION & ADMIN
Mollica has over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse, specialising in medical and surgical care. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, she began her journey with a non-profit organisation, volunteering at food banks to give back to her community.
Her background as a nurse and her volunteer work inspired her to remain actively involved in supporting others, especially in helping individuals maintain their independence and foster social connections within the community.
Driven by her passion for helping others and building community ties, Mollica joined SPDL in 2024.

Cheryl Song
TRANSPORT COORDINATOR
Cheryl has over 25 years of experience in the graphic design industry through her own business, WagTail Designs. Since 2006, she has been dedicated to supporting not-for-profit organizations by enhancing their visibility through thoughtful and impactful design.
She joined the DayLinks program in 2018 as a volunteer driver, later leading SPDL’s rebranding, collateral, social media and website design.
In 2025, Cheryl joined SPDL as Transport Coordinator while continuing to provide graphic design support.
