Program eligibility

There are two ways for people to be eligible and access SPDL services based on your age, please find the relevant information below.

My Aged Care

Eligibility requirements:

  • 65 years of age or over.

  • Must be registered with My Aged Care
    on a Commonwealth Home Support Package (CHSP) or Home Care Package (HCP).


Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC PYP)

Eligibility requirements:

  • Under 65 years of age.

  • Register through SPDL or CoPP.

  • Do not need to be registered with My Aged Care.


National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Eligibility requirements:

  • Under 65 years of age.

  • Register through SPDL or CoPP.

  • Do not need to be registered with My Aged Care.


We offer support to people who,

  • are National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clients.

  • are frail, have chronic ill-health, injured or the ageing process have limited opportunities for social connections.

  • have a disability and not registered for and receiving services through the NDIS.

  • are unable to access mainstream public transport because of geographical isolation.

  • are living at home, in rental accommodation, living with family, in a boarding house or special accommodation house.

  • have a temporary medical condition and who may require service for a short period of time.are in need of short-term assistance due to an unexpected injury or other related health concerns (This is managed on a case by case basis).

  • use wheelie walkers who can access the DayLinks service.

Unfortunately, currently we are unable to support people who are in a wheelchair or are under the age of 18.
